HBCU's Historically Black Colleges and Universities such as NC Central, Saint Augustine, and Shaw Univ. Shaw is like 1 mile away and NC Central is closer than Carolina. Maybe this question has already been answered but I havent found it.

I think it would be kool to have those schools invited to TWW. Does anybody know why they are not invited on to TWW or if they are?

I am not trying to make this a racist column, I just would like to know why. I have friends at all these colleges and they are over here and at NCSU events and parties like other schools on here. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas or if it had been overlooked...

Well I would really like to know why, I think it would be kool to have them on here, we have Carolina and Meridith, Shaw and NC Central are just as close and are very involved with NCSU....would be great to have them on here

BIgz, marko is saying that racists such as ncsuref, etc were on here first, and they would turn off anyone not of anglo saxon descent immediately -- the prevelance of the racism in the soap box would turn those people off.

this is a school specific thing. The subject matter racist or not most of the time pertains to NCSU therefore most other people would get tired of fishing for general stuff throughouit all the ncsu stuff. A lot of the jokes they wouldnt get and a lot of the complaints wouldnt be relevant to them. Who knows....marko could be right too...maybe its just the racist stuff.

So how do we go out and about inviting them...and believe me guys/girls ratio at HBCU's are evenly distributed if not more women then men. Trust me I attended an HBCU my freshman year. Who is in charge of allowing new members from other schools, and/or do I go about trying to bring them here...

you do have a point but the extent to which individuals heritage has been attack has been most blatant and crude to the minority population. Be it, females, african american, native american, middle eastern or religious based differences....A lot of "white folk" on here are attacked but it is most often not their heritage that is the basis of such attacks....

i think you make a good point. I revoked the free access for peace and meredith students for all new accounts. this site was created for ncsu students by ncsu students. i would love to have students from the hbcu's on this site, but anyone who is not an ncsu student is going to have to pay the $5.

the policy of letting peace and meredith accounts on for free was made with little thought to equality. i apologize. if we start letting other area schools on, where do we draw the line? *gasp*CAROLINA*gasp* really isn't much farther than central and who is to say that our bias against them is more respectable than gender or racial bias? I don't want to get into the politics of having to make these kind of decisions. from now on it is just NCSU free accounts, all others $5!

Ooppss!!!, I did not want to have that effect I really didn't but I guess you have to do what is fair politically and morally. And I can honestly believe that it was just an oversight, b/c I have been on here for a lil while and did not think about it till last night. I am currently telling my friends at HBCU's about TWW and I am hoping they sign up and join in on the festivities...

Aggie Land was a great experience, I am glad I went there. Awesome school, Greensboro sucks, but there is nothing like Aggie Land. Everybody is friendl, and when you pas people they actually look you in the eyes and speak. All the women are kool, and the guys are a trip. It was hard to adjust here b/c people walk by with out speaking, just go right by you like your not their. A&T is full of pride and love. You did not see people wearing arch rivals clothes like they do here. People got some priorities mixed up...
