yes, but the regular pci-e slot won't take full advantage of the card.

it's the same slot, a PCIe x16 slot is still a x16 slot

The boost in performance currently is marginal since not many games or applications require that kind of bandwidth. I think crysis got a good boost in performance with 2.0, but that's hella demanding game. It's exactly like the step ups of AGP 1x, 2x, 4x and such. 2/16/2008 5:43:21 PM |
