I have an '02 Mustang v6 that I'm getting ready to sell and I'm trying to get anything fixed that I can. In the last few weeks, any time I am accelerating the emergency brake light comes on, but when I push in the clutch, it goes off. I have made sure that the handle is all the way down and not accidentally coming up a little. Any ideas?
Also, how easy is it to fix the 12v? I had my phone charger in it and my son was playing around and kicked it in and it looks like it was forced down. I was able to get the charger out, but now the 12v doesn't work. 2/22/2008 5:26:45 PM |

Brake fluid is low. Just fill it up.
Probably blew the fuse. Check the fuse panel and check if the fuse is blown. The socket may need to be replaced depending on if there was damage done when it was kicked. 2/22/2008 6:11:45 PM |

^^, ^ yep.
a lot of 12v/cig outlets are fused right behind the socket itself also in addition to the fuse panel. 2/22/2008 6:23:47 PM |

haha, i had to read this about 3 times before it clicked that she didn't mean "3rd brake light".
I was like, "What in the hell does the brake fluid have to do with spurious 3rd brake light illumination?" 2/22/2008 7:56:57 PM |
