Does anyone here know how to/know anyone who can fix an old nintendo? It's the one my brother got in 1985, adn I dont' want to throw the old girl away.

Right now the power button just blinks on and off.

When my red light would blink, it usually meant the tray was not snapped down correctly -- I didn't push the game down far enough.

If you're clicking it down right, there may be something wrong with whatever sensor is in there that tells the system the game is seated correctly.

I still have my original NES I got in the 80's brand new at the time. I even used it recently and it works A-OK. There has never been a problem with it not solved by blowing in it, fiddline with the game up and down in the tray, or some combo of power and reset.

Haha, thanks for the suggestions!

I figure i'll try a good cleaning. I think I'd cry if I had to throw it away. It's been in the family for 23 years now (my parents gave it to my brothers to distract them from the fact they were getting a baby sister, lol)

I must admit I just want to see Mario on my new TV

it's all about that extra copy of mario bros./duckhunt wedged in on top of the game you're currently playing.
