My mom is planning a wedding and we imported a lot of food from africa, but she want to get it tested for any bacteria or eboli, etc.

does anyone know of a place that does this?

if it helps, I don't think you can catch ebola from food....

i thought you could only bring packaged/processed food through customs, i would think you should have no worries about bacteria

What is it, a bunch of tubers? Also, if she is serving a plated dinner, the wait staff should carry the trays on their heads.

yall r some haters, but the food is sauce, the engredients are normal

the equivalent of ragu, lots of spices, chicken, etc.
we dont want a whole wedding of sick people

As long as it's heated properly, you shouldn't have any problems.

why did you import food if you were going to worry about things like that?

Personally, I don't think there is a problem; however the testing you are searching for will probably cost as much as the food anyways.

thanks everyone for nothing, although yall got a point, if i heat it up real nice it should kill bacteria, but its still pretty sketchy

Place to test it: Your stomach. You should get the results back in a day or so.

Man, I had no idea you couldn't buy spaghetti sauce in the states anymore.
