Quote : | "The Readius is a new mobile device from Polymer Vision that doubles as both a mobile phone and an e-reader. What makes the Readius stand out, though, is its five-inch flexible display, which can be rolled into the device like paper. It allows for a larger display size than just about any other mobile phone, but color and resolution limitations make it less than ideal for anything beyond displaying text." |

Quote : | "This idea of morphing is not new for mobile devices," explained Chris Hazelton, senior analyst for mobile device technology and trends with IDC Research. "This is different device vendors trying to meet the demands of users and push capabilities into the phone but still keep it pocket-sized." |

okay, so are any of these things actually purchasable by consumers? i'd LOVE to have an ebook reader because i'm always toting a book with me, and i get seriously pissy when i finish one book and don't have another with me to read...for me, it's worth purchasing
but not for $texas...are there any basic ebook readers available? i don't care if it has wifi or color or plays movies or anything like that...just something small that i can tote around with me instead of books (though i wonder how much i'll miss books themselves...i tried using my palm pilot to read a book once...it sucked) 2/26/2008 9:38:46 AM |

I agree with noen
The morph concept is retarded on quite a few levels.
However, thinner and smaller mobile phones is a definite want. 2/26/2008 10:37:51 AM |
