I've got a Lenmar LIJ416 7.2V 1700 mAh Li-Ion battery that says its for JVC digital camcorders

the camcorder I have is a JVC GR-D770 miniDV camcorder

I can't test the two together because one is in Atlanta and the other is in my hand

the battery you have is eqivalent to jvc part BN-V416U

your camera takes BN-VF808, BN-VF815, and BN-VF823
