so the wife wants a new laptop. apparently she's had enough of my 8-year old Dell Latitude CPx with the 600MHz, 6GB HDD, 32MB RAM, jumpy keyboard, running a stripped down Linux distro. i cant imagine why
i would not normally even consider best buy, but they have a promo with Quest going on if you try their DSL for one month, you get an instant $150 off any PC or laptop.
that's a hell of a discount.
someone talk me out of it. 3/9/2008 11:31:07 PM |

Keep scrolling down and go through all the pages on that site, find the current laptop deals, and pick one.
Some of the best deals you'll find will be on that site. 3/10/2008 12:17:14 AM |

why are even the best AMD Turions only 1MB L2 Cache, when the typical Core 2 Duos are 4MB? i thought AMD was catching up with Intel.

also, what's this supposed "Black Screen" problem? I read about it with Acer, and then with Toshiba. I'm wondering if this is actually a Vista issue, and not a hardware problem as many people seem to think.
