I'm thinking about taking ENG 331 online next semester. I have never taken an online class so I am a little apprehensive about signing up for it. Do you recommend taking this class online? Have any of you ever taken this class online? I appreciate any feedback or advice...

^ I'm currently enrolled in one of Cranford's ENG331 Sections.... shes actually out on maternity leave and a different instructor is overseeing the class and project grading.

I took it non-online and it was alright. It's an easy as hell class any way you take it.

I took it online with Egan-Warren, and I feel like I didn't really do anything in the class.

At least I think it was 331. It may have been 333, but I think they are pretty much the same thing.

I took it with Pittman, she was awesome. There were like 6 grades total and one was just participation (reading the message board and replying). Mostly it was coming up with powerpoint presentations dealing with what type of job you will be looking for once you graduate and what companies you are interested in (I just grabbed a bunch of pamphlets from the career fair and the assignments pretty much did themselves). The most work was a pretty big technical paper you have to write at the end.

I also heard that Larsen was pretty good, in an unrelated note. I dated Larsen's daughter for a little while back in 2006.

No.

We didn't get our first grade back until like 2 months into the semester (after we'd turned in 3 assignments). And she was annoying as hell with her political commentary. I really didn't learn shit in her class.

She did have some insane grade distribution the semester before I had her, but it wasn't worth it. I would take one of the other professors, who also had good distributions, if I could go back and do it again.

i had this course online with helo.

it's not bad, pretty much a gimme A. It can be time consuming at certain points but the work is easy. All due dates and stuff are listed online. If you're organized you will have no problem. If you're lazy and need to sit in class and have a teacher verbally tell u when everything's due u'll prob miss some deadlines.

this was by far the easiest class I ever took in college (I took it online too)

You read like a few small things every week or two, make a comment or two about them by a certain date and well yea, that was almost all of my grade

My teacher was in the middle of doing some kind of research for herself and literally forgot about the class for about a month--so we had nothing to do for a month.

Don't take Warren...

She gave me a B or C on the resume that I used to get the job I held at the time, WITH the job description of the job I held submitted... A resume that I had a lot of help putting together and was crafted by many people who have done recruiting.

She didn't like that I didn't use her format... from there out I just picked on her class format for the rest of the semester... I suck at grammar and writing in general, but I knew for a fact my resume is (and still is) very good, so after that it made her opinion not count for much.

Her class was very disorganized when I took it, she had 2 separate assignment pages and it made it easy to miss things that were due. (This was 4 years ago so she could have drastically improved... but I doubt it. I definitely wrote long and hard on the post class evaluation)

^^ If Warren is the same person as Egan-Warren, she's gotten better. I didn't have any problems like that.
