Is that a reasonable estimate?
That's from kenny hawkins. They said it would cost more, but since I'm a repeat customer, I would get a discount.
This seems a tad high, but I'm not a body guy. Can anyone with body shop experience tell me if they are ripping me/insurance off?
Note that I was not at fault and I am not paying for it. If there is another body shop that does good work and you would recommend, I'm down.
Also is Glasurit that good? 3/12/2008 11:48:22 PM |

Seems a little high. I prepped a bumper once myself and got it painted and it was $300ish 3/13/2008 12:07:54 AM |

if you are not paying for it and have had good luck with them in the past with their workmanship, I'd stick with them. $540 seems a bit high to repaint the front, but if they are doing the strip and prep work themselves, then it seems like an average price. You are probably looking at a good 3+ hours of stripping and prep work if there's body work to be done, then painting. 90% of the work is the actual prep work. 3/13/2008 12:53:18 AM |

It's worth it if they do good work. Slightly high? Maybe.. but better than paint chipping in a year or it looking like shit 3/13/2008 8:04:24 AM |

Are you seriously going to Kenny Hawkins after all the bad reviews people in here have given and after they were on the news for how much they suck?
I can speak from personal experience on this one as they screwed up three of our cars. 3/13/2008 8:16:32 AM |

front bumper strip? as in strip all the paint off your front bumper & then repaint the whole thing?

got my car back from garner collision.
ean is a great guy.
work was top notch.
price was fair.
i only wish the rest of the car looked as good as the bumper does now.
i'm gonna have to save up some cash to repaint and restore the entire car.
