That said, someone clue me in here, I'm confused.
25 cents per what?
Transaction?
Dollar? (I'm moving if so)
I'm not understanding the 'rate' here as they're giving it in cents, not per-cent.

which part of tax is unclear - are you not sure how the current system works?

^ I must not be.

I'm familiar with the state sales tax of 7 cents per dollar. (or 2 cents on like other items depending on what)
Translating to 7% or 2%.

It says it is a .25 cent tax, not .25 percent. Are they saying every purchase will have $.25 tacked on? For example, if you buy a $.70 bag of chips, will it cost $.95 now? That seems dickheadish if I'm interpreting this correctly.

has anybody heard the phone call where a guy was told data rates were .1 cents per kb or something like that..obviously they meant $.10 and he went through all kinds of management and everybody and NOBODY understood the difference in $.10 and .10 cents... ignorance at its worst

he was traveling to canada or something and wanted to know roaming data rates.. obviously his phone bill was a whole hell of a lot more than he was quoted and he was trying to explain to them what they actually told him but nobody understood it

I'm just waiting for a city income tax and the eventual "give us your entire paycheck and we'll decide how much you get back" system.
