Can anyone give me advice on spanish lit classes offered in the fall? As of right now, I'm signed up for FLS 300 with Block. I need a spanish class that satisfies the last class for my Spanish minor along with my lit requirements for my BS. Those are 300-304, 323, 403 and 404.

But I haven't taken spanish classes for, well it'll be 2 years by the fall, so I'm rusty. Is 300 going to be my best bet? My options, with my schedule, are:

300 with Block
301 with Vilches
302 with Mari

Thanks, good to know!

For now, I plan on staying with 300, and I wish I could fit the section with K Villa Garcia into my schedule, b/c I've heard good things about her.

Unless anyone has marvelous things to say about Mari and 302, I'll just keep my 300. Just looking at all the options.

Yeah, I'm not really looking forward to it... But I'm hoooooooooping that taking one sucky FLS lit class is better than taking another 300 level FLS class and a sucky ENG lit class... I hope. Because I'd like to finish my minor and get the necessary lit requirement for my BS.

This is the best advice here. Really, stay away from her classes. I liked FLS 300, it's a good introduction to spanish lit, and an easy class. So, if you can get away with just taking 300 and having that satisfy your requirements, do it. If not, 304 is also a good choice.

Amy Wright also teaches 302, I wouldn't take her either. She's not a bitch like Vilches (mostly) but she expects above and beyond in her class to get a decent grade. It was not uncommon to have ridiculously long readings assigned, and then papers due on Thursday after she told us about it Tuesday.

I think I got 125 on Block's first test. She's tons easier than even K Villa-Garcia.
