Computer Science major, need to pick some sort of basic science elective for next semester.

Requirements: Must be selected from CH201, PY123, PY124, any Physics with PY208 as a pre-req, or any PB, BIO, MEA, or ZO class.

I don't want any sort of chemistry or biology, PB is about plants and such, and ZO doesn't look too appealing either.

Right now I'm looking at one of the MEA classes or PY 123 or 124.
Anyone have experience with any of these classes, and if so, can you recommend a professor?

^If it fits the requirements I'll consider it, but I didn't think it was under one of those letter codes.

^^Not enough to fulfill that requirement, anyway. I'm not a huge fan of the subject but I don't mind taking it.

^^^So have I, that was the MEA class I was thinking of, but couldn't remember the course number. Anyone taken it?

These are 3 that I would suggest that satisfy your requirment with a B.S in Computer Science (also it says you only need 3 hours so you would not have to take the lab, which would make these suggestions even easier).

MEA 101 (rocks for jocks, didn't go, get an athletic study guide, easy A).

BIO 105 (I know you said no biology but this is biology for NON-science majors, easiest A I have obtained at this university and tons of hot bitches/freshmen)

MEA 130 (again equally as easy as the ones listed above, some what interesting)

Any of these 3 should be an easy A as long as you aren't in a body bag.

I took PY 124 with Egler and the lab wasn't required. It was a fun class, 4 multiple chioce tests, no homework. He is pretty fun, entertaining, and approachable. Plus he keeps you up to date about what current NASA missions are doing (I think a rover landed on Mars during our class). Overall, I really enjoyed it. I'd recommend it.

I took PY124 which was one of the most interesting courses I took over the last 4 years. It was easy for me (It was my first science course at the time) and its taught like an "elective" rather than as a degree requirement-type course (its casual and laid back).

Rocks for jocks is what Joyce always recommended.

mea 131...intro to weather and climate. Easy. With Eder a bore fest. I was actually asleep before he even started class on more than one occasion.

I agree with Bio 105....the people in my lab had never touched a fucking microscope before. Patterson ftw.

I am in py124 and mea101 now and py124 is much easier/more fun. Geology is still easy as hell, but not nearly as interesting. Astronomy also has NO homework, while you have to go to class on Sunday to fulfill the geology homework requirement.
