My next few semesters are going to be pretty light, between 13 and 12 hours each, so I'm looking for suggestions of an easy class to take (PE, anything) that you're glad that you took. I saw a thread either in here or old school about this, but I can't track it down...

I'm thinking foreign language, arts, that kind of stuff.

I will start off with one of my own though...I'm glad I'm taking PE 240, Social Dance. Its a blast

STS302, or the equivalent - science, tech & society.

I absolutely loved it, had Kriesburg (sp) and enjoyed her style. I know some on tww that dont like her, to each their own.

I LOVE social dance. About to go waltz, actually. And I'm going to need to know how to shag for my summer internship, so its helpful too.

I'm going to add Horticulture. It really helped my garden, and was fun.

I took HI 322 - Rise of Modern Science with Dr. Kimmler my senior year. The class material wasn't too fun, but he was a really good teacher and made it interesting. I'd recommend it if you have a history class to fill.

I took backpacking my junior year. It was great to get out and do some hiking around the area and then go on a 3 day trip with the class at the end of the semester. If I could do it again, I would take more PE classes during my 12/13 credit semesters.

Kriesberg moved to Arizona about a year ago.

I really enjoyed the arts class I took with Dr. Kramer from the music department: I think that was ARS 351, but he also teaches another ARS course in the fall.

I really liked my modern Asian History course with Dr. Ambaras, too.

I also recommend most anything Halpern teaches in the English department (221 and 406).

I wish I would have taken social dance, too. It looks like fun.

I am taking golf this fall and run conditioning. I like running and want to improve my golf swing. I'm hoping I'll enjoy them.

Eng 388 -- Intermediate Fiction Writing with John Kessel

The man is awesome, first of all. Second of all, it's always nice to hear how an award-winning author goes through the writing process. It was a fascinating look inside the creative process of someone who's so good at what he does.

Also, all my journalism minor classes, especially the two I took with Kochersberger and Editorial and Opinion Writing with Cat Warren (who's not teaching this year, not sure if she'll be back next semester).

^ I am still fumingly, bitterly pissed off that I missed my opportunity to take Kessel's Science Fiction class. Took Basic/Intermediate/Advanced fiction writing, though. With Jill McCorkle, not Kessel, though.
Best class I ever took was SOC 304, Sociology of Gender, with Kris MacComber. Awesome, awesome class.

anything with Steve Greene in political science is fun and highly entertaining

BUS225 (personal finance) is probably the most useful class you can take
