My dad has a collection of rifles and ammo that needs to be "disposed." We've been trying to find some places to go shoot, however, we don't really know where to go. I'm open to suggestions for a nice rifle range in the Raleigh/Garner area.
Thanks...

Davi was the only one that I found. I was going to see if there were any others. I've only been to a rifle range a couple times when I could still get back on base (Camp Lejeune). That was quite a few years ago though. Other than those 2 times, I've never been out. Figured it'd be pretty cool to get out there and shoot some guns.

I heard from alot of people that most ranges around here are pistol only (is that true?) That's why I asked for rifles.

I haven't lived in Raleigh for about 8 months now but I assume not much has changed. Other than Davi's (100 yards indoor, right?) there's the Wake County Range. It's down in Apex/Holly Springs. I've never been but it seems to be pretty big with several indoor & outdoor ranges. I never went because their rules were retarded (had to take a training class before you could shoot there and they only offered the course once every couple of weeks or something.

^hardy har har...

^^ thanks, I'll look into them.

As for disposing the rifles, um. No. My dad is very fond of his Springfield and AR15, and quite frankly, I am too (now that he'll let me shoot them ). When I said dispose, I didn't mean sell/trash/give away/etc... I've fired an m16a2 several times before, however, not in the Raleigh area.

Chief, where you referring to Davidson Inc?

Thanks guys.

^^No, I was just showing the other thread that might have some info about local ranges, although I've heard the good ones are near/outside wake county lines.
