television looks like a black light
Any ideas other than to buy a flat panel?
Believe me, a flat panel is in the plans; just not at this moment. 3/29/2008 12:10:20 AM |

dumb question: is there anything near that corner? 3/29/2008 12:14:52 AM |

That side of my TV, nothing at the moment. Though I usually have my Wii there.
My receiver is on that side of the TV but under it, and my cable box is under that. 3/29/2008 12:30:39 AM |

someone or you put a magnet or something with a magnetic field there. You have to get something magnetic and kind of play with it until that goes away. 3/29/2008 12:32:24 AM |

hmmm ... OK ... Well here's something else that's weird.
The first time I noticed it was during the Super Bowl, and it drove me nuts.
The next day, it was gone.
Tonight, I turned on my TV and noticed it immediately.
So I guess it comes and goes.
Is that still magnet related? 3/29/2008 1:01:02 AM |

Is there a speaker or anything with a motor (perhaps like a vibrating recliner or osmething) in the same room as the TV? Just moving a device like that can cause the magnetic fields to move and interfere with the TV/ 3/29/2008 1:05:32 AM |

Well I have 5.1 surround, so I've got speakers all over the room ... But none have been moved close to that side of the television. 3/29/2008 1:10:05 AM |

try just rotating maybe the ones nearest to the TV see if that makes a differnce. where is your subwoofer? Try moving that too. 3/29/2008 1:11:13 AM |

does your tv menu have a degaussing option? also, try unplugging it for a several minutes and plugging it back in. some tv's have a built in degauss activated on hard resets. 3/29/2008 10:45:56 AM |

If you have a trinitron you can adjust the landing of each corner individually. 3/29/2008 11:39:03 AM |
