My 95 Ford Explorer has developed an odd problem. Every few days the check engine light comes on and the vehicle develops a bad habbit. From a full stop, the transition from idle to acceleration causes the vehicle to momentarily stall. After about half a second the engine recovers and then drives normally until either the next full stop or the check engine light turns off ending the behavior.

next time the CEL is on go by auto zone or advanced auto and have them read the code from the CEL.
