Looking for somewhere that is affordable and looks decent. I don't need a logo, just black text on a plain white paper (medium to light thickness).
Got fed up with my printer, it's not aligning the Avery break lines with the heading correctly. I tried pushing it in all the way and applying pressure when the printer feeds the paper, spacing the header down one line, and feeding it sheet by sheet, and it's still not working and wasting a lot of time.
My wedding apprenticeship boss likes http://overnightprints.com which has about ten cents per card without shipping taken into account, but I don't need 100 in a bunch (I give out cards for a specific event, and for this upcoming weekend, I'll only need 60 or so). I don't mind wasting a few bucks on 40 extra but in the long run it'll add up. 4/6/2008 11:12:08 AM |

Make your own. If you dont want anything spectacular you can buy the business card sheets at any office store, usually 10 cards to a sheet and you pop them out after you print them. They don't have rough edges and look pretty good, depending on your layout/design of course..
EDIT:
Spend your money on a new printer and make your own.

Yeah..I just made some pretty sweet business cards on vistaprint. Would have been cheaper if I didn't have them rush delivered. But a pretty good price for a lot of options (imported my own picture, had a variety of designs to choose from, and even put a message on the back). 4/6/2008 5:21:53 PM |

I run through cards like candy, I'm constantly needing to write things down and I always have my cards in my pocket. Before I give one out I have to take a quick glance to make sure it doesnt have my grocery list on the back 4/6/2008 6:21:46 PM |

My problem is that if I order 500, I don't give out 500 at an event where there are only 60 guests. Like I said, each event has its own card (with a unique password to the online gallery). That's why I'm interested not in bulk ordering, but in orders of 50 to 200 per batch. 4/6/2008 6:40:31 PM |

I have been very pleased with overnightprints for postcards, have not ordered business cards from them though.
I have heard great things about vistaprint, but have not used them 4/7/2008 3:56:14 PM |

I used vistaprint for the free 250. There is an ad for them on the back, but you can get custom address labels to put over that.
You can also get the free 250 repeatedly. 4/7/2008 4:04:22 PM |

You could just buy a high quality B&W LaserJet printer from me for like $70, and then use it to print all the cards you want (I print all mine on my 4100 and they look great). Probably something your business could use anyways. 4/7/2008 9:33:49 PM |
