It is some game trading website, they are doing a promo this month. You register for free, no credit card or anything and you get 100 pts. These 100pts can get you a free Xbox or PS2 (or maybe another older system) game. I requested Mortal Kombat Deception or Halo 2, whichever becomes available first since they are both backwards compatible with the 360 - although I may just resell whichever I get on Half.com. It is legit.

It annoys me that they have Final Fantasy X2 for 100 points but not FFX. They do have Viewtiful Joe though, so I am overall pleased. Good find.

Not a bad idea, their "exchange rate" seems considerably better than Gamestops. I inquire about the reach around every time I trade something in to that place

So how difficult would it be to set up multiple accounts and get multiple free games? Since it doesn't ask for a credit card or anything, I guess the only thing it could match it against would be your address? Looks like I'll be sending another game to my parents house. And maybe one to my gf's house.

Yes. I just tried to sign up for the hell of it with a different email address. I used the same name to see what would happen, and I couldn't confirm my account due to security clearance failure.

Or something.

I never got to the point of entering my address.

whats the turns to go when looking at a game requested status? the number of people in front of you that requested that game?

well that was fast, found a match for the game i wanted in like 5 minutes.

and mildew, you get 100 points and a trade bonus when a person you referred makes a positive trade.

I never got into the Metal Gear Solid series and a few of those games are only 100 points for the PS2. Same with Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2.

I don't understand people that complain about Gamestop's trading practices. If you don't like what they offer then don't sell your stuff, or just keep it and sell it yourself online or whatever. No one's forcing you to sell your games that are probably garbage anyway.

Sorry, but that's my rant as a part-time Gamestop employee. I seriously hate most of the customers that come in there if you can't tell .

HOLY CRAP!

So I just tried out the game and it works fine and all. I thought I would go ahead and give the guy positive feedback and what not since the manual and all was in excellent condition. I fill out the feedback report and hey look at that, I've been awarded 200 points for "First-trade bonus credit". So FYI, when you get your game, give the person some feedback and you can get another one! Looks like I just ordered Final Fantasy X.

I tried signing up again with a different email but it put the second account on hold. I guess they could have tracked my IP but that's kind of silly since a friend could easily be using your computer to sign up.
