Trying to install a second SATA drive.....
the bios detects the drive as "unknown" but that's as far as the computer gets to recognizing it. Windows has no clue its there.
The original drive was also a seagate sata drive just the barracuda 7200.7 instead of the barracuda 7200.8 im trying to put in...
The main segate sata drive is in the 0 slot and the second in the 1.
Ive tried switching around cords an such, it seems the power is fine and the connection to the board is ok.
do i need to put some jumper on to make the drive motherboard compatible?
Its a dell dimenions tower 8400 4/13/2008 12:26:42 AM |
