I want to change the serpentine belt on my 98 crown victoria but the tensioner bolt doesn't want to budge. I've tried a breaker bar but I feel like I'll snap it in half if I push any harder. I'm also afraid of making the square hole into a round hole if I force it too much. Any tips on loosening it? Another dumb question: would I turn it clockwise or counterclockwise? The Hanes book doesn't say, it just says to twist. I'd post the photo of the tensioner I found online but it's no longer there.

Turns out my ford required a clockwise turn. Got the belt on in less than 10 minutes.

"yeah, really. that's almost as bad as getting your r1 stolen from walmart, the busiest parking lot in town. your curb hitting tree ramming drinking a 2 gallon jug of milk d.u.i. ass is the very LAST person on this board that needs to be calling anyone dumb."
