Hey - I've still got that HP StorageWorks Dat72 drive (+ 13 [I think] tapes) for sale. It's posted in the classifieds too.

Make me a good offer now, or I've got to put it on eBay. If I don't get any acceptable bids by tomorrow, I guess, I'll put it on eBay and post a link here.

You may get a good price on it there, but searching back, the drives alone tend to sell for around $300 and the tapes for $15/ea all + shipping, so there's a chance of it getting away from you.

All just fyi. And, I'd rather just sell it to somebody locally and get cash now, so the next few hours are to your advantage.

I know, I know.

But I *had* to have the cash to make sure the electric didn't get cut off today

Also, I didn't have the magnetic mount, the cable, or the box...which are some of the things that are tough to get a hold of - but weren't important to me...guess I really am a pc guy...function over form :-)

What is it with those things anyhow?

I mean, when I bought it, I had a mac...3 actually...and it was incredible as far as picture, video qualtiy, and had surprisingly good sound quality too. But $400 seems like a lot...

Is it just b/c they don't make them anymore?

Anyhow, my heat and a/c, lights, and computer are all still on, so it was a good sale for me under the circumstances :-)
