My dad and I were driving on the highway a few years ago (2002-03ish) and saw a van with Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts printed on the side. Thought nothing of it cause I'd never heard of them, but he was like "holy shit Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts I saw them in college" at which point he proceeded to sing to me their signature song.

Pretty cool story.

When I was a youngin' I went to a UNC football game with my uncle (a Carolina grad), and after the game we went to the fraternity where he was (can't remember which one, but it was the back left house in little frat court), and Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts were playing there. We stayed most of the time they were playing, and I got to shake Doug Clark's hand during a break. I feel honored.
