Honda CBR900RR

how do i plumb the coolant side of this thing?

hard metal oil lines are already installed

doing an engine swap, my old engine didnt have one, the replacement does

it has one line hookup with maybe a 3/8th" inner diameter fitting for a hose

dont really see a return line

there is another fitting, but it's maybe only 1/8th"

looked online but nothing really makes sense

i'll try and post pics tomorrow

what year is the bike and new engine?

you're talkin about the cooler under the oil filter right?

should have a small hose that goes to it from the water pump/ t-stat area, and one that goes to the left side of the radiator

The bike is a '94 and the new engine is from a salvaged '94, I was told

bought it online

maybe it is from another year that had one, but it bolted right into my frame and i specified '94, 893cc specifically because i was not interested in doing any remapping, rewiring, metal fabrication or any other custom work to get this thing rolling again. It has been down long enough.

No, this oil cooler is above the oil filter with metal hard lines going to the head

the oil lines are already connected

left side

I need to know how to connect the liquid side of the cooler, see fittings below

right side

the oil cooler is where the two lines connect to the base of where your filter screws on

Thanks man, I really appreciate that.

ok, so why is there an air suction valve attached to this engine and not one on my old one? is this an emissions thing for california bikes? (i think this engine came from the west coast, been awhile since i bought it)

well i was thinking.. this replacement came from the west coast, so it very well could be a California model

I bought mine brand new in 94 from NC, so that's probably why mine doesnt have one already
