does anyone know any optometrists in the raleigh or boone area that will accept tricare? i've called some places around here (boone) and none of them seem to accept it. i will be under tricare until june 2nd when i turn 23 then i'll have blue cross blue shield. i should be good on contacts until then so i guess more places would accept bcbs am i right?

More places accept bcbs. I've never heard of tricare. You could probably go to the tricare site to see who in the area accepts them.

I used to work there and they take it, as long as you have the letter allowing you to use a provider other than the base or you aren't required to use the base.

yeah i tried earlier and it kept saying "the zip code entered is not a valid zip code for our contract" so then i searched the north region and found some places. i just assumed NC would be considered the "south" region. oh well.
