My friend's motorcycle was stolen last weekend, insurance (GMAC) told him that theft was not covered in his policy. What's up with that?

Not my bike, so I don't have the policy, but I didn't think that was possible.

I know that, but theft not being covered?

So he's just fucked? No bike, no check, nothing?

Except of course a life lesson.

Fill out a police report, post info on craigslist, expect to never see it again but hope for a miracle

Attempted vigilante justice = jail time for you

Probably no jail time for the other guy either.

Just write it off as a life lesson.

I'm not involved...and I'm surprised my friend hasn't pulled time yet.

Hell I wish I had a bike to be stolen.

Theft is definitely NOT covered by all insurance policies. Your friend has a lot of learning to do if he ever thought that. Same goes for you.
