Can anyone give me any pointers on how to improve watching a streaming video on my computer?

It's the Ken Burns Civil War documentary, and I'm watching it on the NC Live site through NCSU Libraries.

The sound and video keep breaking up and what not, I've got a good connection, it just doesn't seem to be keeping up very well.

Any pointers?

start to play it, then pause it and let the whole thing download first

or see if there's an option to download the video
