ok, so i just got a credit report, and for some reason my dads name also came up, both names start with the same letter, perhaps a mistake.
and a whole bunch of credit cards i've never heard of, like Chase, Bank of America and target (i'm pretty sure i've never had those accounts plus they've all have had activity)
i find this weird. i'm getting credit for my dads stuff, which im guessing is good, but there are some negative comments also. who do i contact to fix my credit report? 5/15/2008 8:35:50 AM |

My dad and brother have the same name, and my mom just figured out that they have been putting my dad's stuff on my brother's credit.
He's only 20 so he hasn't really had much credit yet. You can call the bureau that your credit was pulled from! Like ^ said, there is a number on there somewheres. 5/15/2008 9:30:29 AM |

there are some really incompetent people in that industry
dont worry about matching up things like social security numbers...no...just go with first and last name, right? 5/15/2008 10:06:13 AM |

my father and I have the same name and a ton of his accounts show up on my report.
Luckily for me he is and has always been very responsible with his credit.
Just amazes me that no flags were raised by the fact that I supposedly already had a credit card at the tender age of 2. 5/15/2008 10:23:53 AM |

it's called a joint account.
He probably named you on some of his accounts and has cards for you to help build your credit. He just never gave you the cards to go spend his money 5/15/2008 2:35:37 PM |
