Who do you take? Who do you think the Bulls will take?

I would pick Beasley b/c I think he's the better all-around player, but I think Chicago will take Rose. Hometown guy, plus point guard is somewhat of a need for them.

Another subject to talk about is the Bobcats and what they do with the 9th pick. There doesn't seem like any players projected to be at that spot that can truly help them. I think they should consider trading it and find a veteran big man or point guard.

I can see the Bobcats taking Love. Larry Brown coached at UCLA and he has an assistant from there now, too. If Westbrook is still around I think they'd jump at him as well. Neither would make an immediate impact IMO.

Rose simply b/c he is a Chitown native and will be a nice pick up for them. still cant go wrong with either one though....if he [rose] can play in the nba like he did in college then he will be nice.

i know Wilbon did a back flip last night

I feel like after seeing what Chris Paul has been doing in NO they'll take Rose.

Beasley to me has the potential to be a huge star, or a bust, where Rose is more of a can't miss. At the least he'll give you solid play, maybe not be a star.

Westbrook would be good if they could talk Wallace into playing PF again and then slide Richardson to SF. We'd have one of the smallest teams in the league, but would be freakishly athletic and terrors on defense. Still, Wallace seems to get banged up quite a bit down low, and IIRC he said he'll never play PF again.

Love makes sense, even though I'm not big on the guy.

I don't think Love would be a superstar, but his all-around game is pretty impressive. He reminds me of Linas Kleiza (Nuggets) and I think his numbers would be the same-something like 10 pts, 6 boards, 4 assists in 25 minutes p/g. I think he definitely has nightly double-double potential.

V If the Bobcats took Robin Lopez over Love I'd find another team to watch.

One of the other big men expected to be around the 9th pick is the other Lopez twin, if the Bobcats were to draft a big man. I think the only PG that would be around there that they should pick is DJ Augustin. I still think they need to find someone that can come in and play right away, and most of the guys out there, with the exception of Beasley, Rose and maybe Mayo, won't be immediate contributors. They need to find a PG that can either back up Felton or help him run the point, and they also need a big man to help out Okafor, especially since Fatass May is always hurt.

i don't think beasley's game will translate to the nba as well as rose's. thus, i would take rose.

it depends on who the next coach will be, contracts for gordon/deng, and the trade scenarios if they select rose or beasley (because someone will have to be dealt regardless of who is selected)

Beasley, b/c last year they made the mistake of drafting Joakim Noah. An inside presence will help the productivity of the Bulls' perimeter players.

yeah, thats what i think

and gooden is in his last year, so he might be gone, along with thomas

perhaps they can be packaged for a real PG

They should take Gavin Grant. Then the Bulls will only lose 4 next year.

But how much of an inside pressence will Beasley actually end up being?

He is only 6'8, he isn't a real 4 at least yet, so it is tough to see where he fits in. I mean the bulls were looking to be a contender just a few years ago, I don't think they are truely rebuilding and Beasley would need work. I think they can take Rose, get an instant contribution and be back in the mix in 2 years.

I would take Rose, but the Bulls will probably go Beasley.

Where does that leave Luol Deng? I guess he and Beasley could both start.

even at a 20/20 or 20/10 line i would still go with rose and and start trying to shop Hinrich. Deng, Gordon and Rose would be sick. you win championships with elite point guards and i think he will do great but who knows.

but say i couldnt shop Hinrich (its not like he isnt a decent PG and can get the job done) then that line up of him, deng, Beasley and gordon would also be sick

Bulls need to overhaul their whole fucking team.

You look at them and say..."Eh, go with Beasley, they have a decent guard in Hinrich and he played a lot better down the stretch." But then you realize that Hinrich sucks and Gordon sucked last year too.

Then you look on the inside and say, "Eh, go with Rose, they've got Gooden, Deng, and Noah down low...why do they need Beasley??" Then you realize that Gooden blows, Deng sucked last year and got worse instead of better, and Noah has absolutely no offensive game other than putbacks.

They should trade their whole team for the 2nd pick and just go 2 on 5 next year with Beasley and Rose.

Its all about contracts, motherfuckers.

In today's NBA, how much money someone is making (and for how long) is just as, if not more, important than how good they are.

Heinrich's locked up for 4 more years at about 37 mil...not too many teams would want him at that price.

The average big men they have now like Gooden and Tyrus Thomas would be much easier to move.

Beasley is 6'10", at least on draft boards. He would bump Noah.

if im not mistaken, i think hinrich's contract decreases in value per year

I don't think Rose is on the same level as Chris Paul or Deron Williams. Rose comes off as raw to
me with extreme athleticism, while Paul and Williams have great athleticism and understand the
game Very well. CHI might take Rose over Beasley but I'm unconvinced he's as good as Paul/Williams.
