i really enjoy the french, the longer rallies and big groundstrokes are fun to watch. fed is looking pretty good in his match the morning and i'd really like to see him complete the career grand slam this year. at least he will only have to play one of nadal/djokovic. its tough to pick against a man who has lost like 1 out of 100 matches on clay...but i do think fed has a decent chance.

was anyone else annoyed by djokovic demanding the pronunciation of his name be changed?

IMHO the French is the least exciting and worst major of the 4.

^i thought the exact same thing until last year. the nadal/federer final was epic (among other matches that were also quite good)

The French has eluded the two greatest players in the modern era. There's no other match-up that is exciting as Federer/Nadal in the French finals. Even without all the history, the Australian just doesn't offer up anything unique surface-wise.

i'm pretty sure even djokovic could beat him

federers been in quite a slump lately. (although the slump could be a way for people not to notice him as much this year)

even federer admitted it. he got beat like 3 out of the past 4 times(in the last 3 months) by nalbandian. as well as various loses to lower seeds.

your right thats no slump at all for other players, but thats a huge slump for federer.

crazy thing is that Nicolas Almagro the guy that lost, beat andy murray a couple days ago. lol. beat him good too.

my vote is that Almagro was pretty sore from that match still. oh well. nadal rules clay. i hope he beats djokovic and federer back to back and maybe attain a #1 ranking in the world finally.
