I thought Rat's post in the other thread was just about spot on, heck he's almost inspired me to be a simplistic isolationist. It is a romantic ideal.

Perhaps we would have more respect in the world if we demanded at least a little. Seems W is a little to easy going in this sense. Modulo the war of course.

and i'll admit, i was a little pissy in the other thread, because i think it's a really pointless thread. and considering the initial post in this one included a personal insult to me, i think i've kept it pretty civil. i, unlike others, don't include personal attacks.

but maybe you have a point about me pissing up threads. there's nothing that i'm particularly interested in talking about right now. i'll lay off soap box for a week or so.
