Why is there no sales tax? I bought a couple used cars in Rawlee before and thought I paid it before, something change?

you probably didn't pay sales tax. you probably paid highway use tax when you registered it and changed your tag over, and then got a property tax bill later in the year.

I thought I paid something like 3% of book value up front. Guess that was the highway tax.

And it sucks. You pay $15k for a vehicle and they'll tell you it is worth $19k. Also, why did I have to pay HUT when I was just transferring the title and not getting a license plate? Shouldn't getting a license plate be a requisite of charging a highway use tax?

This is a pretty sweet looking ride. Any history of accidents or thefts?
