So, one of my managers decided to go to one of the house parties some of the interns at my resort had and then ended up spending the night with one of the girls. Its pretty awkward now cause her roommate had a thing for him as well as the obvious.

The thing is, I am the only intern that doesn't party every night. When you can't go "aw man, that was a fricking sweet beer bong you took last nigh" like the rest of them, you get alienated pretty quick. And I don't really want to be that guy who ratted out the boss... but its kinda weird. I could go to his supervisor but.. I dont know.. I feel like first of all he shouldn't be encouraging drinking till 3am when we have six thirty shifts. Or be boinking the help when he makes the schedule...

Should I tell someone? I could just send an anonymous link to the facebook album one of the girls put up from the party and let them fill in the blanks... Or should I just ignore it and hope it goes away (but there is another 2 and a half months left- it could either get much better or much worse)?

Will you be relying on this manager for a reference or letter of recommendation or anything like that in the future?

Remember that scene in Old School, where Craig Kilborn told Luke Wilson "Guys don't tell on other guys...its the rule" ?

Well, it is the rule.

Abide by it.

What makes you think that you need to do anything about this? This sounds like you have personal reasons written all over it.

I think you should mind your own business and do your job. There is no need to police the morals of your co-workers.

This has the potential to get ugly. ^ Good start. If it really bothers you then you should speak up, probably not the the direct manager. If you hope to get a FT position, then make sure to establish a solid relationship with whoever you hope to work for, which might mean letting these transgressions slide. Who knows there may be some boinking.

what part of the situation do you feel obligated to act on and why do you feel obligated to do something?

boss having some fun with a girl? not being able to party as hard as the rest of the crew? is their partying negatively effecting your performance? not fitting in and being jealous?

mind your own business

Mind your own business. Unless it affects the company's performance in a substantial way (and even so, why would you care if you're just an intern...unless you plan on coming back and working for the company anyways).

Why do you feel like you need to tell?? The only reason I'm getting is that you're a hater.

^Exactly

If their on-the-job performance is starting to suck directly because of this - you haven't said what industry you guys are in - then you might have reason. As of now without that piece of information it seems like normal office drama.

Just stay out of it. You don't want to be involved in drama that you don't have to be and if you say anything to anyone then you are gonna get drama. Just pretend it never happened.

only care if she gets promoted over you or he all of a sudden gives her tasks that you usually handle. Since you are only a intern, you don't have much of a case.

All they'd have to do, even if you said something, would be to get together and decide that everyone denies everything you say. Then you look foolish and further alienate yourself.

In short, just keep your mouth shut and work. Or it'd get even more awkward

uh, okay, wolfweb- I was expecting a couple "tell hr" and a couple "dont bother" but I didn't think you would get so ... into overanalyzing things?

Its not personal, its the fact that its already creating rifts in the workplace. Schedule changes and whatnot. But whatev, I was trying to see if anyone had been in the situation.

Guess I'm just an antisocial, drama-making, whore! Thanks internet.

was this even a serious question ? Sounds to me like girl jealousy. Developed from years of being left out and the need to get back at someone for being anti social hating nut.

sounds to me that these rifts were already there and now that you see a chance to hate, are taking the opportunity to strike.

also, you're an intern for christ sake. unless the guy fucking the girl has physically or emotioinally harmed you, then you have no right to complain.

nobody is calling you a whore. we're just telling you to mind your friggin business. it's obvious that you're upset about not being tight with the other interns there. lay off the hatorade and mind your own damn business.

i'd normally chalk something like this up to a troll thread, but i get the feeling you're being serious.

ding ding ding

welcome to the real world..where males and females BOINK when they feel like it

yes, some people will indeed have advantages over other people because of who they boink.

that really doesn't matter.. you're there to do a job, not worry about who is boink'ing who or how late your coworkers are staying up every night

Right now, I have a job where I hate the people that I work with for various reasons. No one is boinking anyone, but some of the people, especially the owner, are assholes and just not good people in general for many reasons I care not to disclose. However, instead of confronting the situation, I have decided that since this job is ending in a couple of weeks, I would rather just bear it until then and come out with a clean reputation and a decent reference than to cause any drama. If I were you, I'd do the same. Being an intern means that you probably want a good reference from this job, so I'd just do my job and bear the bad parts and chalk it up as an experience. What's two more months? It's not like you're going to be there permanently.

Just stay out of it, be polite and courteous to everyone, and work hard.

You'll probably want a recommendation from these folks, and pointing fingers at someone while you're a lowly intern is not the way to accomplish that.

i have ... i was actually the boss that was BOINKING the help.
we cant help that fact that the underlings have a "thing" for the boss.

id say mind your business unless it was a written and upheld policy that stated that no one who worked there could date each other. i really doubt thats the case.

loosen up, have some fun and take more nude pictures of your hot body
