When I was little, we found a man. He looked like - like, butchered. The old woman in the village crossed themselves... and whispered crazy things, strange things. "El Diablo cazador de hombres." Only in the hottest years this happens. And this year, it grows hot. We begin finding our men. We found them sometimes without their skins... and sometimes much, much worse. "El cazador trofeo de los hombres" means the demon who makes trophies of men.

Yesterday, near my home in Northern Colorado, we had flash floods because our higher-than-normal snow pack all melted when it hit 85.

We should harness the increased temperatures to provide clean energy.

^ That's the solution! We shouldn't be so focused on changing the atmosphere in such a way as to trap less of the heat from the sun... We should be catching those rays from the sun before they even enter the atmosphere.

Like a huge pair of shades with integrated PV cells!

^ Could work. I'm intrigued by such engineering solutions to global warming, but you have to watch out for unintended consequences.

It does seem possible, but no doubt there would be an immediate list of a dozen or more species that would utterly wiped out as a result.

Maybe HAARP, which is real, is causing it:

80 doesnt sound bad, but that humidity is a killer. Days like that Im happy for my education and indoor work enviroment.

Do you commute to work or walk/bike or bus? doing any of the later 3 would be a bitch with that humidity.

I take the metro, walk a few blocks to and from the stops - it isn't that bad

Friday it is supposed to be 93

It'll be 85 with 100% humidity when I go home (or to softball if i choose)

that'll be a bitch

DC has that wonderful lack of greenery to take the edge off the heat... Nothing like humidity plus living in a city that is essentially nothing but miles and miles of thermal mass retaining the heat.
