coulda been a lot worse, the brand new slider i installed before trip ripped off near the end of the slide, but saved most of the front end, hence the turn signal and fairing still existing, the headlight/cowl damage was from a guard rail at the edge of a 50 foot + drop, the duct tape was damn close to main paint color, made the giant hole dissapear


1100 miles in WV this weekend, it was a fuckin blast

smoke hole rd. was well worth the venture into northeastern WV, plus the Charles Town horse race track, i won enough to cover the damage, picked a win, place, show longshot, that finished 1,2,3 in race 6

on a related note, i also need a new center stand, since i wore off the lever in the left handers

also sugar tree rd. is a damn good one near warm springs, we spent a few days looking at local maps this year instead of just riding down some random ones

we have a spotter about 1/4 mile ahead in constant 2-way radio communication that can call out trucks and cars coming, debris in the road, etc.

he just miscounted a turn, usually i will back off 1 turn ahead anyway to be on the safe side, but this was a fukin sweet one with a long straightaway afterwards to slow down, so i went balls to the wall through it, laid it down, picked up the bike, restarted it and kept right on haulin ass before the next rider even completely caught up with me

#1 when you are up on the frame in a mid turn dip, it doesnt matter what kind of tire you have or how hot it is
#2 when you are doing 50+ mph approaching a 30 mph turn and 10k rpm, and get a soft pull on the brake, a god damn jake brake wouldn't slow you down that fast, the only god damn thing downshifting would do is throw you down harder when the rear wheel starts sliding

2 things wrong with that statement which you are too ignorant to see (or you are ignoring it to prove your worthless point )

1) Just because he "knew" the road doesn't necessarily mean that he's got even inch of that damn thing memorized. I know hwy 70 from raleigh to the beach. That doesn't mean I can tell you every frackin bump in the damn road along the way... Plus when you throw in random variables (ie: roadkill, random gravel on roadway, random pavement cracking/pot holes, remains from a flipped mustang, random glass from a possible accident, etc...) there's no way to be certain unless you cruise through the road first and then go back for fun. Even that leaves room for some error in the time you go back to haul ass and have fun on that road.

2) Speed limits, imo, are just there as an "advisory" There are many signs out there that could use an update. Some are posted too slow, others too high. Just because a sign says 55mph legally doesn't mean that it's necessarily safe for all vehicles to do so.
