isare google and gmail mad slow today?

like can't-even-load-gmail-past-the-initial-loading-bar-or-google-reader-past-the-header slow?

all other sites including speedtest.net test regularly for me except google reader and hosted gmail.

I've not noticed any problems ... I'd bet it's a routing issue somewhere out there.

One things for sure, though ... I definitely can't use Hotmail/MSN/Live or Yahoo for email. Their interface and overly blatant advertising makes me cringe.

i agree. i have a junk yahoo account and i had to switch to their old interface because the new one was so slow, crashed my browser, and both have tons of ads. the reason i started using the google search engine over others so long ago was because it was so clean and simple, and they did a good job of keeping that in mind with gmail, maps, etc.

gmail has been unbelievably slow off and on the last week or so. it will hang up while deleting an email or sending one (no attachments). sometimes i get an error message. most of the time it just says "working..." at the top for forever. anybody else having this problem?
