and he's flying down here to visit and take of the warrant
The warrant is for failure to appear in court for a underage drinking ticket almost 4 years ago.
Is it OK for him to be flying down here? I figured the airport has a record of all the people flying into the airport and maybe some authorities would be notified if a person with warrant is flying in.
Google is giving me mixed answers.

why the fuck is he flying here to take care of that????
He could get a lawyer for $250 and be done with it. He is stupid for setting foot in NC without getting the warrant recalled first. I mean that would be much simpler than risking getting arrested before he gets to court and having to bail himself out.....] 6/17/2008 4:54:57 PM |

^it's worse than that....he could care less. I'm the one curious about the situation. I told him to bring extra money because I'm not bailing his dumbass out.
He's really not planning on taking care of this so, being the good buddy that I am, I have set him up to talk with my lawyer while he is here. When he goes back home then he can have the lawyer take care of the problem.
If I set him up with the lawyer he will take care of it. If he has to do any of it on his own, then he probably won't. He doesn't have a problem shelling out lawyer fees but he does have a problem getting the whole process started.
I just hope he will be OK during the time he his here.

Ehhh.... I hope he's okay to fly in.
I mean, I kind of hope to visit NC again.
I seriously doubt two cops would be standing at the gate to take him in on a FTA, though. I don't think the courts and airports interface that way anyways 6/17/2008 5:49:39 PM |

He'll be fine. You think the police are going to waste their time coming after someone over a 4 year old FTA?

no he isn't expecting me to fix anything
he doesn't care about this at all and would probably go as long as possible before he got this taken care of
I'm being nice and setting him up with my lawyer. 6/17/2008 10:12:02 PM |

It would be wise for him to talk to the lawyer on the phone before he comes into NC. He can save a lot of hassle that way. 6/17/2008 10:25:43 PM |

I'd be really surprised if they would waste their time going to the airport to pick him up when he lands. Then again, the cops could be particularly bored that day 6/18/2008 3:11:12 AM |

james crouch is expensive, and you are only paying for the name like with rusty dement. the lawyer i work for could do the same thing for less then they would, and to recall a warrant and get the ticket taken care of would cost more then 250$. 6/19/2008 4:32:45 PM |

and they have warrants out for way more important things then drinking tickets to serve warrants on. he should be fine 6/19/2008 4:34:41 PM |

James Crouch is not expensive. It is like $250 a misdemeanor which is the going rate. A lot of times if you have a bunch of bs charges added on he does not even charge you for them. 6/19/2008 4:35:56 PM |

ha, i highly doubt thats what he charges, 250$ would only be his attorney fee and not any kind of court cost. or pay for the 90 96 program or whatever they make you take to get the ticket dismissed. i know his partner manning, cause he use to work in the building i do, and he went there to work with him to make more money.
Crouch and Manning are great lawyers, but they are expensive lawyers, but they get the job done. Last I heard they needed some translators too, if anyone is looking for a job. 6/19/2008 4:42:49 PM |

I mean every ticket I ever send them is $250 flat, they usually do not charge anything else because they always get them dismissed and keep the money. 6/19/2008 5:33:30 PM |

Crouch charged me $325, but I think that has to cover some court costs too. I honestly don't care whether it's $225 or $325 though. I care about the results. 6/19/2008 6:02:43 PM |

if any of you think a fta warrant isn't something that isn't pursued or they forget about, think again. they give these things to officers that are trying to move up, and their success in executing them accounts for a lot when the time comes for them to be considered for other positions. they'll work them like it's a murder or something. magistrates aren't very lenient to waive bond with them either. 6/19/2008 7:23:11 PM |

^yep they've done the same to me (as in came to my place and even to the point of wanting to come in bc they were looking for some girl that used to live there and didnt believe me she wasn't there..)
your buddy really could run into some trouble. i honestly dont know how well the airport and police interface in terms of looking for ppl traveling in with warrants but the fact is if they know he's coming they will do something about him, period
