entry programming. I need to buy a new keyless entry remote for a 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited, and I can't find anything thru a google search on how to program a new remote. Everything I've found says you must take it to the dealer. I take my car to the dealer as a last resort, so if anybody knows how to program one I'd appreciate your help. I'm just planning on buying one off ebay or amazon. thanks.

match up the FCC # on the back to make sure you get the right remote.

it has to be done with a scan tool, you need to bring all the remotes when you have it done

if you do go to the dealership all you need is a title and i think its around 120, for them get you all set. had to do this on a jetta one time, butthat was back in high school.
