no good deals at the moment, but discount tire will match and if you're nice give you roadhazard for free.
good stuff, esp. with construction debris and women drivers around. 7/1/2008 7:14:05 PM |

hmm seems the one tire i need in question has a 50k mile treadwear warranty
I know it hasnt been NEAR that long since I had them replaced
how would I go about getting a replacement? anyone ever done it? 7/2/2008 12:26:16 AM |

no, he meant treadwear dumbass. tons of tires are available with them. it's still a limited warranty though, and requires you to meet certain requirements to keep the warranty and/or make a claim. 7/2/2008 3:44:31 PM |

and usually after 10k or so the treadwear warranty is pro-rated
to get it replaced you'll need your original receipt and go back to the place you bought the tire from.

I've gotten the last 4 sets of tires for my car off the internet.

tread wear warranties are useless, at best they are a loose guide to the longevity of the tire
say a tire costs you $150, it wears out at only 35k instead of 50k, even with proper rotation, you still pay $105 + mount and balance for a new one 7/3/2008 5:22:15 PM |

do you have to buy the warranty to get a tire replaced if you barely drove 200 miles and a belt broke? 7/3/2008 7:02:18 PM |

you dont pay extra for a wear warranty, it comes with the tire.
