i know they had that discount at discounttiredirect.com but i was too late for that, just searched it and brought it up

anyone know of any other good deals going on? i just need one, but if i can get all 4 and save time/money/effort in the future that would be great

no good deals at the moment, but discount tire will match and if you're nice give you roadhazard for free.

good stuff, esp. with construction debris and women drivers around.

hmm seems the one tire i need in question has a 50k mile treadwear warranty

I know it hasnt been NEAR that long since I had them replaced


how would I go about getting a replacement? anyone ever done it?

umm i think you mean manufacturer defects. i.e. tire separation broken belts so on

no, he meant treadwear dumbass. tons of tires are available with them. it's still a limited warranty though, and requires you to meet certain requirements to keep the warranty and/or make a claim.

and usually after 10k or so the treadwear warranty is pro-rated

to get it replaced you'll need your original receipt and go back to the place you bought the tire from.

I've gotten the last 4 sets of tires for my car off the internet.

(current set of Continental Extremecontact are working very well!)

tread wear warranties are useless, at best they are a loose guide to the longevity of the tire

say a tire costs you $150, it wears out at only 35k instead of 50k, even with proper rotation, you still pay $105 + mount and balance for a new one

do you have to buy the warranty to get a tire replaced if you barely drove 200 miles and a belt broke?

you dont pay extra for a wear warranty, it comes with the tire.

and i always go to discount, and have em price match tirerack
