"since the use of a lit candle in the proximity of a person's face would carry a high risk of causing potentially severe skin/hair burns and middle ear damage."[6]
Prof. Edzard Ernst has published critically of ear candles noting that "There are no data to suggest that it is effective for any condition. Furthermore, ear candles have been associated with ear injuries. The inescapable conclusion is that ear candles do more harm than good. Their use should be discouraged."[7]" |

Clogged ear?? I've had one for the past 3 days or so - but today, I finally couldn't take it any longer and used Hydrogen Peroxide to break the crap up, let it sit in there for about 30 min until it stopped bubbling, and let it drain out. Followed by a couple of drops of alcohol. Ear popped back to normal about 5 min later. Best thing ever. 7/1/2008 11:03:47 PM |

Hmmm...interesting! Haven't heard tell of these in yearsssss! My dad and his siblings were all about these damn things for a minute. I'll see where he got them. I think they might have sold them at a local mom and pop's pharmacy in Sanford! I'll get back to this! 7/2/2008 12:58:20 AM |

Um, if you've tried all those, then I'd strongly suggest you just go to your normal doctor and ask them to flush out your ears. If those things are not working, then the best thing you can do is to seek medical help. You probably have a very impacted ear plug that's just not going to come out by OTC means.... 7/2/2008 9:27:28 AM |

Go to the doctor if it's that bad. I had to get my ear flushed when I was little (Shit load of wax that smelled like salt water thanks to a beach trip) and it took all of 10 minutes. 7/2/2008 11:21:03 AM |
