when is the best time to buy a new apple laptop? my powerbook is going on 5 years old, and i want to get a new one. 15" - aren't they due for a new version or update sometime soon?

which more than justified the upgrade

54mbps vs. 108mbps when you have all your data on an iscsi target makes a huge difference
(granted, i know wifi isn't exactly the medium of choice for iscsi, but it's damn convenient.)

whoa, it also significantly improved my b/g speeds and range for some reason...

i'd recommend this to ANYONE with a first gen macbook pro.
