I want an old car with updated engineering. Seems like the best of both worlds. 7/15/2008 4:01:47 PM |

my neighbor has two old challengers with matching paint jobs. Although one works, the other is still missing the motor... 7/15/2008 5:03:50 PM |

yeah, for 10-15 years now, mopar concepts seem to have about the best odds of any in terms of making it to production, usually without getting neutered nearly as much as you'd expect.
i'd love to have an old challenger or 'cuda. i just can't afford a stable of dream cars just yet. 7/16/2008 1:12:39 AM |

yeah, i've always dreamed about an e-body with a modern drivetrain interior, and suspension crammed under. just a subtle, clean exterior. smoothing of trim, dechroming, and stuff like that, but nothing else. flat black with a satin clear and rollin on the biggest/widest ttII's that'll fit. 7/16/2008 1:23:04 AM |

Didn't Car & Driver do an article on one of these updated cars a few months ago? I think the retail price was about $170k. 7/16/2008 10:39:57 AM |

I went and saw the one at crossroads on my way back from dinner...man I really want one. Not $55k want one, but I do want one. Don't know if it's the redneck in my genes but that thing was badass. I'll hold off though until it's a manual and the plain 5.7. I would really want a convertible. The car didn't seem as big as I was expecting. The back seats didn't have much room. 7/16/2008 10:17:08 PM |

there's an orange fs on craigslist for $51k.
^^^yeah it does. they run good too. did a little more poking around today, and mopar has been spotted doing some sandbagging test/exhibition runs with them in the low-mid 11's. too bad they won't be street legal. still cool to be able to walk into your local dealer and order a race car though. now it just need this and the track only viper...
