I was once on the phone on hold w/ twc for several hours, when I got the message, "I'm sorry, you have been on hold to long, CLICK" (or something to that effect)I proceeded to storm out of the office, and into thiers (w/ a very fast drive between).

I dont know if you have been up there lately but you would have been on hold there too. I turned in all of my cable boxes yesterday and when I got there there was 25 (no exaggeration) people in line, two slow people working, and the line was out the door. Needless to say I was pissed but that should be the last time I have to do that.

^^ how much is your direct Tv package and what does it include. I thought about trying to do that once but didn't want to deal with the hassel of all the packages and rates increase after the first 6 months or whatever.

It is the same service, you just get a new customer discount for six months (7.0 for 29.99) I was paying that for 1.5 now, I just bitched when I finally got through and they put me back on 6.0 for 34.99, not great but acceptable.

i never call them if i need themmy travels take me close to their building in gboro about once or twice a week. so if i have any problems, i just go in there and talk face to face with a personbeats the hell out of waiting on hold, its faster, you get the right person, etc etcPS - they either unlocked my cable modem or fixed a huge pipe problem, because my download bandwidth has TRIPLED in the past week... which is awesome because i fucking abuse this connection so hard

Setup installation at my new houseI was supposed to get Digital Cable with DVR and the HBO premium packRRThey installed both yesterday but my HBO pack didn't work. Then today I went to DVR something and I found out that the DVR service wasn't enabled.I only had to spend 5 minutes on the phone yesterday to get my HBO turned on. I am going to try to call tomorrow about the DVR.

i tried for 3 days a couple of weeks ago, and all they told me was that they can't do shit until the people living there now call to have theirs disconnected and that if i wait too long to schedule an appointment i'll likely not get it for 6-8 weeks

The person I talked to let me sign up to cancel my roommate/boyfriend's service because I was signing up and calling to schedule the new install and I had all his information. She also told me we would be able to call the day it was disconnected and get a new installation set up within a day or two, which I thought was weird, so I asked her if she was sure about 80 thousand times and she said yes. Now a week into September is the first time they can set it up and that doesn't work so I said cancel the disconnect and they're all like, "You can't do that. He has to call us to do that." But you let me fucking set it up in the first place! If you get out there before you actually answer his call ... because he's probably going to be waiting for 45 minutes ... I am seriously going to kill someone.

i live in a huge ditch covered in trees, leaving TWC or no cable as my only option for TV... sucks donkey ballsI eventually dropped cable because their HD shit is too expensive for the 5 or 6 fucking channels you actually get and the god damn DVR boxes... I think you all know about those DVR boxes.

Glad I just saw this thread.So we needed our internet connected and had an appointment for 8am-12pm yesterday.I sit there the whole time, no one comes, no one calls.Fiancee (account is in her name) calls TWC, explains the situation, they said it was a big oversight on "dispatch" to not call us, so they credited our account $40 and said that they'll have someone there at "8am sharp" this morning.Not surprisingly, no one comes.TWC calls my fiancee at 10:23am, 3 minutes into her class at law school. She can't answer, it goes to voicemail, and because of that they cancel our appointment (which was supposed to happen 2.5 hours before this).I get on the phone with TWC, explain what's happened, and while the guy puts me on hold to try to reschedule another appointment, my cell phone dies while I'm looking at the built-in calendar. holy fucking shit these folks never cease to amaze me with their stupidity.we upgraded to digital cable w/ dvr. the guy came and installed the box today. we have an HD tv and they didn't give us an HD box. ok, no big deal. we'll just call them up, explain this and they'll get us another box since it's the same price, right? yeah, right. this dumbfuck of a customer service rep tries to tell us we have to buy the goddamn "HD suite" or some shit. then we're like, "no, we just want the high def channels, we don't even get wralHD or anything." we finally get the idea across to her that they're separate and then she tells us that it's gonna cost more. we know this is incorrect, but we're like, "ok, how much more will our bill be in the end?" she runs some shit or something and then is like "umm, it'll cost the same"NO FUCKING SHIT YOU FUCKING BAG OF COCKS. IT IS A FUCKING SHAME THAT I KNOW MORE ABOUT YOUR PRODUCTS AND HOW MUCH THEY COST THAN YOUR GODDAMN CUSTOMER SERVICES JACKOFFS.they're coming to change it out monday afternoon and it won't cost a dime more. fucking idiots.
