in hours vs. total hours "on the clock"

depends on where I am in sales numbers for the month. If I hit quota the first week or two of the month, I'm putting in 3 hour days MAX. If it's coming down to the end of the month and I am not there yet, that makes for some pretty long days.

This depends on the time of year. Sometimes it can be as low as zero hours. It's pretty retarded.

^^^ same. When it's the end of the month in sales sometimes you do what you gotta do to make things happen. Even if that means putting in overtime (unpaid of course).

Most days: 15 minutes to 2 hours out of 8

About one day a week: 6-7 hours out of 8

Oh nothing is better than being able to kick it at work for a few weeks. I'm really ready to switch jobs bc I sell software to the real estate market, so every little penny counts down to the last day of the month

I probably work 2-4 hours on a typical day. There are rare days that I work all day and other days that I do zero to 30 minutes of work all day.

Usually it goes something like this:
8:30-9:30 - work or goof off on the internet (today I'm goofing off this hour)
9:30-10:00 - poop, talk to wife on my cell (not at the same time)
10:00-11:30ish - work
11:30ish - 12:30ish - goof off
12:30ish - 2:00 - lunch break (I leave a few minutes after my boss leaves, so she doesn't know when I left)
2:00-3:00 - goof off
3:00-4:00 or 4:30 - work
4:00 or 4:30 - 5:30 - goof off, plan dinner

OK, time to poop and call the wife.

im usually working the whole 8-hour day if not more, at least when I'm 100% billable. Right now, the two projects I'm waiting on are under test, so there's not much else for me to do for the next 15-20 minutes. That's pretty much my only time to check news, email, tww, etc.

6hr shifts
I typically work between 5-50 minutes each shift.

I'm there for just in case, and my work is split up between the very beginning and very end of my shift.

So I get paid to fart around for roughly 5.5hours.

each of these scans takes 30 minutes to complete, but very little time to set up so i'm on tdub a lot lately

when i worked in on my co-op i'd do anywhere from 2-8 hours of work, depending on what was going on, schedules, all that mess

I work pretty hard throughout the day but I do it in "bursts." I am in every day from 7-2:30 and I'd say I work for hard for 5-6 hours of that on any given day.

Yes. Basically, I'm a teacher and when school is out of session they still make us come into the office. But they don't have us do any training or anything. So we just fuck around the office all day. I've been paid to play board games or watch movies with my coworkers because we had nothing to do for 8 hours.
