It seems most of the good names have been taken

New teams either have to recycle and old name or take a chance with something new, which usually sounds stupid

But think back about a lot of old teams...if those teams were just coming into the league now, their names would be mocked like crazy

Especially the NY area teams...Nets, Met(ropolitan)s, Yankees, Knickerbockers, etc.

Their cool now, only because we've never known them any other way
