So i recently got back into weight lifting and also recently got a workout buddy...well since i was working out with someone i worked out harder than i normally would by just kinda half assing it

i'm double jointed in my writs also

anyways i was doing some dumbell military presses and it hurt my right wrist...not anything too bad but i can definitely still feel some discomfort like 6 days later...should i get it looked at or am i just being a baby? its kinda pissing me off cause i dont want to lift til the discomfort goes away but i figure after 5 or 6 days it should be better by now

i've had wrist probs for a while, never got it looked at... but that is because I assume there is not much anyone can do. I mean, yeah my wrists hurt bc of perhaps a sprain, but what kind of help could I get for that other than to be told to let it rest.

I get that in both wrists. It started when i used to do a lot of push ups. It comes back whenever i do any kind of press.

Eventually it goes away but it always comes back. I think mine comes from stressing my wrists. Nothing i can do really.

Does it hurt when you bring your wrists back or all the time?

Yes I have had this problem before when lifting heavier weights. The answer is you need to build up your forearm power by doing forearm curls, or you can do what I did and get a pair of wrist support workout gloves. They are somewhat of a pain because you have to strap them down tight and it limits movement, but they work really well.

Go to dicks sporting goods or some sporting goods store.

People always say pussy's wear gloves, but they are retarded.

don't gay!

sounds more like a wrist strength issue more so than being 'double jointed'

I hurt my wrist and let it go for years and years because I thought it was a sprain. After four years I got it checked out and it turns out it was broken. This is very common because there is rarely disfiguring. I had to have a bone graft done. It will cause me problems forever.

So my advice, it probably isn't broken. but if after icing it and some time if it persists, see a MD.
