Tickets bought. Should be great having this at a an actual building this year. Although there's something to be said about not waiting for the port-o-johns and taking a leak behind a tree with hundreds of people around you.

Not worth going if you ask me. Raleigh is the same & the cab ride home is substantially cheaper. That & I just don't feel the need to go twice a year anymore.

i have a friend who lives close enough to make the cab ride reasonable. i said the same thing about going twice a year and skipped the raleigh one, only to realize that i have to go to a wedding instead.

fuck weddings. it's also the same day as homecoming vs. boston college. FUCK WEDDINGS!

They are not the same. During the Durham beer fest breweries are usually gonna have darker beers and seasonals out such as oktoberfest, pumpkin beers, stouts, and porters. The Raleigh beer fest will have lighter beers that are more geared to summer. Also the Raleigh beer fest has more breweries there.

We're going to the afternoon session and taking the TTA from Hillsborough Street to Durham. There's a stop right over by the Athletic Park. State ID's ride free.

Public transportation FTW. Use it.

Yay, this weekend

I was just looking for something on the web site and found this:

Quote :
"We focus on quality, not quantity; we promote beer appreciation, not alcohol consumption.

* Drink in moderation
* Take fragrant breaks to eat
* Drink plenty of water or other non-alcoholic beverage
"

Don't forget your fragrant breaks, everyone.

I don't think its worth going to durham anymore. The experience is similar enough that the $10 cab ride home from moores square can't be beat.

Durham beerfest kicks Raleigh's in the face.

Not that I like Durham any better than the next man.

I'm going with 6 of my friends for the night session. My birthday is Friday and I have tickets to Boston College Saturday afternoon

I have three tickets to the night session, if anyone needs tickets. Face value, $40 apiece. PM if you are interested.

I need help remembering a beer I had today. It was near the 3rd base section and I can NOT remember the name. It was a cask aged beer in a larger bottle. I don't even know what kind of beer it was other than it had a Scottish sounding name (was a multi-word name) and was golden in color.

I have been through the map/websites and can not find it.
