1. Google
2. Work your way up the ladder
3. I think there's an umpire school or something in Florida

I know a guy who used to ump minor league games, it pretty much sucks. The only major requirements are a baseball background, a relatively large stature, and 20/20 vision (lol).

Interesting fact: all the signs in Busch Stadium have Braille on them, except the one outside the umpires' locker room.

I would be like that C.B. Bucknor guy and try to get a rise out of every manager

Make the really extravagant strike calls and do like a full Mortal Kombat uppercut everytime someone was out

I wouldn't actually eject the manager's tho...I'd just let him argue till he got out of breath

my high school coach was an AAA umpire.

Its extremely hard to get up there because the turnover rate is so low.

First, they only take a certain number from each graduating class from school and ship them to low level ball like rookie league. Umps are evaluated and are promoted as spots become available. He had been doing it for about 5 years before he decided to just be a sub ump for umps who take vacation

That's lower than I expected with the amount of teams and games.

it's about as hard as making it to the major leagues as a player, and if you really want to do it you have to start right now.
