Grand Asia is an Asian grocery store. They have sections for different Asian countries.
Regardless, I doubt eels from opposite sides of the China Sea are that different.
The smoked eel I got from there was cleaned and frozen. It tasted good in my homemade sushi. 8/13/2008 9:45:03 PM |

Chatham square, on Chatham St. I can't remember the name of the store, but they are pretty good. It is located on the largest bldg on this map, parallel to Chatham St. Also, if you want to buy fresh fish, there's Sea Depot in the corner of Chatham with Maynard St.

yeah, this is pretty much the central ethnic foods area there are all kinds of foreign grocery stores and whatnot here chances are you'll find what you're looking for here
and, if not... grand asia market is 3-4 miles away off of buck jones rd. across from crazy fire, the side facing us-18/15/2008 12:19:54 AM |

Yeah, Chatham square is the place - I think it's called Tokyo News and Gifts or something. I don't know if they have eel or not, though. But it is the best I know of for Japanese food/supplies.
Grand Asia is much larger, so if you're just looking for eel it is probably the place to go, but as has been said Grand Asia is Japanese+Chinese+Korean+Thai+Vietnamese, so the Japanese food section is not actually that large. 8/15/2008 9:27:11 AM |

any asian market is going to have it. There is a store on duraleigh, grand asia, store on falls, its pretty easy.
Most places that sell supermarket sushi also make eel rolls. I know harris teeter and whole foods has it 8/17/2008 2:00:06 AM |

^^^^^ That place sucks imo. They don't really carry anything that Grand Asia doesn't also carry and they're much more expensive. The only benefit of going there is chatting up the woman that works there usually. 8/17/2008 10:07:13 PM |
