Its been like wow 4 years since I've been. I'm going for 3 days 2 nights, and staying at the Hilton on S. Michigan Ave. Headed to the museum and the park but wanted to know some other cool things to do that are not too hard to get to. thanks

I was there last fall, it was a great time. Take a river boat tour, very nice. Pass on the lakefront boat tour though, not as great. The ferris wheel on the Navy pier is cool. I liked the top of the Hancock building more than the Sears Tower. Freedom Park was pretty sweet too.I went in October, but it was unusually warm, in the 80s.

gino's east on wells is the best deep dish companygo to a sox gamewalk south along the lake to the field museum/planetarium/acquarium and head back up to the museum of science and industrycheck to see if there are any street festivals going on while you're town (if it's a weekend)... there probably are on the north sideget the cta 3 day pass. don't be afraid of busses.I live here, so let me know if you have any specific questions.and yes, wrigleyville is full of fantastic sports bars, just don't go when there's a cubs game unless you like the bargain of $5 bud light cans.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE CHICAGO!I'm trying to think of things to do, other than the obvious 'lakefront stuff'. If you search for chicago threads, in one of them, zorthage has posted a very good list of things to do. Make sure you eat some italian beef while you're up there <3Allot a full day for the museum of science and industry, and beware that it's a little bit pricey.

I'll have to look up Italian beef..I found things to do now I need a good place to eat. Something along the lines of magiannos (sp?) which they have there also. Don't want to spend more than what I would on a dinner there. Also would like it to be more on the elegant romantic side. and yes Chicago deep dish is the shit. I am sorry.

go up to wrigley and walk around there. Bunch of bars, cool sights, and it's in the middle of a neighborhood so it makes it real cool. There will probably be some street festival going on too.

I hate baseball so thats the last place i'll prob go. no offense.
8/23/2008 11:42:05 AM
it's still a cool area to go even if they aren't playing. Most people just go to Chicago and head downtown, but not to the cool neighborhoods on the northside. The neighborhoods have tons of cool architecture, small mom and pop restaurants, shops, etc.
